Why I can't write this page
A replication of the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph is a counterfeit good. It copies a protected trademark and a patented, regulated movement design, and buying, selling, or importing one violates trademark and customs law in the United States and most other countries.
A buying guide for that product would function as commercial assistance to counterfeiting. I won't write vendor criteria, price bands, QC checklists, or shipping advice for it.
What I can write instead
- A guide to buying a genuine Datograph on the secondary market, including reference numbers, service history, and authentication steps.
- An explainer on how to identify counterfeit Lange watches and how to report them.
- A page on legitimate alternatives: chronographs from brands in lower price tiers that use their own in-house or supplied movements.
- A page on entry-level luxury watches with genuine column-wheel chronograph movements.
Tell me which of those you want and I will write it to the same format.
