What the reference 222 is
Vacheron Constantin launched the reference 222 in 1977 for its 222nd anniversary. The Jumbo is the 37 mm model with an integrated bracelet. Jörg Hysek is credited with the case design. The watch shares its base movement architecture with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 5402 and the Patek Philippe Nautilus 3700. The original run ended in the mid 1980s.
